Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
Let Israel say:
"His love endures forever."
Let the house of Aaron say:
"His love endures forever."
Let those who fear the LORD say:
"His love endures forever."
In my anguish I cried to the LORD,
and he answered by setting me free.
The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
The LORD is with me; he is my helper.
I will look in triumph on my enemies.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in princes.
All the nations surrounded me,
but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
They surrounded me on every side,
but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
They swarmed around me like bees,
but they died out as quickly as burning thorns;
in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
I was pushed back and about to fall,
but the LORD helped me.
The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
Shouts of joy and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
"The LORD's right hand has done mighty things!
The LORD's right hand is lifted high;
the LORD's right hand has done mighty things!"
I will not die but live,
and will proclaim what the LORD has done.
The LORD has chastened me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.
Open for me the gates of righteousness;
I will enter and give thanks to the LORD.
This is the gate of the LORD
through which the righteous may enter.
I will give you thanks, for you answered me;
you have become my salvation.
The stone the builders rejected
has become the capstone;
the LORD has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
O LORD, save us;
O LORD, grant us success.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.
From the house of the LORD we bless you.
The LORD is God,
and he has made his light shine upon us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
up to the horns of the altar.
You are my God, and I will give you thanks;
you are my God, and I will exalt you.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Marcie,
I left a little note on Wilma's Blog, after your comments. And thanks for visiting! It's one of my very favorite places to visit, and you are more than welcome to come back, anytime :) Wilma is a wonderful, and also a wise lady!
I had no idea that Anthony was your son. But, if you read all of Wilma's comments, I do believe it was her husband who answered Anthony, and not her :) She mentioned that her 'hubby' sometimes reads Joel's Blog, and enters comments, and of course, it's on her blog :( And that he was a bit radical. Now my husband is also a 'radical.' However, he would have whole heartly agreed with your son! But, alas, my 'hubby' never goes near a computer, unless it's to look at some family pictures. A glance does it for him :(
Anyhow, I wanted to write you, to tell you how very much I appreciate all your comments, and also the Scriptures you often leave for us, on Joel's Blog.
You know, we all don't agree on everything, I understand. However, we can all agree on the basics of the Christian Faith. We'll have all of eternity to get everything else sorted out, amen?
And it's also important not to depart from 'the love walk.'
In fact, I read something today that may bring a chuckle in your direction.
"Never wrestle a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it."
Something to remember with all the Liberal comments going on at Joel's, eh? LOL. Anyway, that's my 'take on it.' But, there are times to speak up, and be counted, I realize.
I love you, my dear sister in the Lord! And may God's peace and love surround you today, and everyday.
Marcie,
Well, what do I know, LOL.
Wilma left a message for you, on her Blog.
Please come back and visit, okay?
Love you, and God's very best to you and your family!
Marge,
O you are so sweet to comment here and leave your wisdom.
No I didn't know Wilma's husband made comments from time to time.
That's funny. I know Anthony likes to express his views and sometimes it's difficult to see where he's coming from. But all in all I know what you said is very true.
It makes me think of the saying,
"Can't we all just get along?"
But your quote made me laugh. Indeed,
"Never wrestle a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it."
I believe the spirit of what we are all trying to say here, including Wilma's husband and Anthony is, "The Truth".
It's just that this world is so complex that the only way we can truly know the Truth is when Jesus explains it in great detail and that will only come when His Kingdom is revealed.
"Now we see in the mirror darkly" or as C.S. Lewis called it "the Shadowlands"
So in the meantime, here we are, trying to sort it out by reading His Word and looking with puzzelment at the world.
I find great encouragement on Joel's blog and the Christian love and perspective I see there. It's refreshing. I love Wilma's wisdom and I never doubted that the words spoken were meant for good.
Political feelings run high, and it's not easy to see where someone is coming from at all times.
I know Anthony means the best too, he loves this country,and he loves God with all his heart.
Sometimes it's best to leave it at that.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my little spot. I enjoy leaving my comments for all the world to see that I love the Lord and Hope in His promises.
Much Love,
Marcie
Marcie,
You show the love of Christ in everything you say :)
And congrats on your new Position, on Monday, too!
May God continue to bless you, and yours,......along with your new Job!
Thank you Marge,
I know the Lord has a Plan for me there. I know He'll give me the tools I need in body, mind and spirit.
Our God is so very good.
God Bless you in all God leads you to do too.
See you in the Cafe, someday.
Love,
Marcie
