Isaiah 26:20-21
Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
until His wrath has passed by.

to punish the people of the earth for their sins.

But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

Speaks of the Rapture...
Christians will "go", and "be taken" in the Rapture.
I think these passages speak of the Rapture.
We will be taken to the New Jerusalem "Mother Jerusalem" in heaven and be behind shut doors for 7 years (a little while), until the "indignation" is past.
Then those who come to faith on the earth after the Rapture; those who come to Love God and Jesus and believe, will be saved as well when Jesus returns with the Host of Heaven.
John 14, Revelation 21-22 say we must "Overcome".
Overcome, it is the only way for those left to face the 7 years tribulation after the Rapture, they must Overcome in order to be saved.
The hardships will be profoundly difficult after the Rapture.
I believe that Pastor Byron McDonald is correct, his book The Morning Comes and Also the Night indicates that The Day of the Lord and the Rapture are the same time.
Just remember, God wants to save all those who come to faith. The best way to come to faith is to pray God enables you to understand His Word the Bible and read it to come to saving Grace.
"Study to prove thyself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly understanding the Word of Truth."
11 Timothy 2:15
